Get curious!

Your early career is often a time of mixed emotions. Excitement, fear, positivity, uncertainty, determination. Coming from a structured world of education where you were told what to do and where to be, suddenly the reality of your future hits you. Sound familiar?

Does your future look bright, shiny and exciting, or like a long, dark, endless tunnel? Whatever it looks like, taking those first steps can be daunting. You may have a glimmer of a vision, but not truly know. Sound like you?

Knowing where you’re heading, why you’re doing it and what your purpose is helps. A lot!

The more you question, the more you can make connections and generate new opportunities

Curiosity creates clarity

Coaching nurtures the development of skills and habits needed to support you throughout your life and career. Like developing good questioning skills – helpful in the decision-making process when choosing your early career, but also helpful at interview stage and when communicating within a team, or working solo in the workplace on problem-solving.

You may not have all the answers, but at least you can work out what the pertinent questions are.

Be curious:

  • Notice what sparks and engages you, and see what opportunities arise

  • Read more, and engage more

  • Make connections, join the dots – same idea + different context = genius!

  • Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Often, the seemingly silliest of questions ignite good discussions and enlightenment

Here’s a fun formula to demonstrate where Curiosity fits into AYM Coaching programs

C + AYM + VTC = CREAM

  • C = Curiosity

  • AYM = Align Your Mindset

  • VTC = Vision Through Coaching

  • CREAM = Clarity, Resonance, Excitement, Action, Motivation

Finding your purpose brings meaning to the work you do and the life you lead. Far from restrictive pigeon-holing - this type of self development work is liberating and empowering. You get to design a future life and lifestyle which uniquely suits you. And in coaching you can build the clarity and motivation to move into a fulfilling future career which aligns with your passions, talents, and aspirations.
