5 ways AI is important to your role

Are you embracing AI as ‘tech for good’ or fearing a future workplace which has bots displacing jobs and rendering current skill sets irrelevant?

Or maybe you have been an early adopter but had your fingers burnt by an AI project which misfired (think data in silos, or customer-facing bots which were let loose before full checks were in place).

One certainty about AI is that it stirs a mix of thoughts and emotions…

Here’s what’s important –

  1. You are confident about where you fit in the ecosystem. Today and in the near future.

  2. You understand the broader context of AI, what’s possible in your role, and what’s expected of you as an employee in the hotels & hospitality sectors.

  3. You are up-to-speed on how your peers and competitors are already using AI for productivity, efficiencies and innovation. You do not want to get left behind.

  4. You have a roadmap to work from

  5. You tap into relevant use cases and workflows, and develop tailored prompts and scripts.

This is the difference between surviving in the workplace, but working from a place of fear…

And embracing the positives, communicating your value clearly in your next 1:1 or job interview – and maximising the AI outputs.

Times are changing. Innovation always brings opportunities for new business models and the introduction of new norms. You need to get your career in alignment with a future workplace that includes AI.

To be clear – the need to adapt and thrive with AI applies even if you don’t have ‘IT’ or ‘digital’ in your job title! It’s not the AI bots which will take the jobs, but the people who can adapt and adopt AI skills

Gain a competitive edge

Great AI tools are already deployed in your sector. Here’s where your competitors are maximising AI to get ahead –

  • Cost savings & efficiencies across hotel operations, design teams and backoffice

  • New workflows free up time from repetitive tasks

  • Real-time analysis informs decision-making, improves guest experience & drives revenue

  • Generative AI is opening new opportunities in design and creative job roles

  • Predictive AI is streamlining operations and maintenance

  • Hyper personalisation elevates customer satisfaction and delivers a highly-curated, luxury feel to service

Ask yourself – are you getting the most out of AI tools? Are you aware of what tools are already available to align your workflows with what’s going to be needed in the workplace of the future?

If the answer is no – or you’re not 100% sure you are absolutely maximising where you could be - let us shortcut you to some clarity, context & clear next steps…
